As we begin to settle back in to doing the things we love, WTW Cinemas have been hard at work making sure our venues are even safer so that you can continue to enjoy the best in new movies and event cinema.

When visiting the cinema things may work a little differently for now – here’s some of the changes you can expect to find when you visit us…

Booking & Payments

We recommend booking in advance.

With screens operating to a reduced capacity we recommend booking in advance. All performances now have allocated seating and you can book tickets right here on the website. To aid with this, we have temporarily reduced our booking fees to 40p per ticket up to a maximum of 80p. Your booking confirmation email will show the earliest time that your seats are available, to avoid crowds in the foyer please don’t arrive before this time.

Maximum limit of 6 seats to a single booking.

From Monday 14th September we will be unable to accept a single booking of more than 6 seats, save for where that larger number represents a singe household and/or support bubble.

NHS Test & Trace

From Monday 14th September it is a legal requirement for all customers to provide contact details for NHS Test & Trace.
Failure to provide details will result in denied entry.

In cinema, please try to pay by Contactless where possible.

We accept Contactless payments up to £45 when paying by credit or debit card.
If you do not have Contactless, the next preferable method is credit or debit card.

Cancelled or rescheduled Event Cinema performances.

If you hold tickets for any Event Cinema performance that has been cancelled, our teams will be able to handle refunds or transfer the balance to a gift card if you wish. For rescheduled performances our teams will be in contact to give you the option to change to the new date or refund your purchase. It may be necessary for us to adjust some previously made allocated seating choices for tickets already purchased for unaffected performances to accommodate the new social distancing seating model.

Face Coverings

Customer Face Coverings

Face coverings will be mandatory in cinemas from Saturday 8th August, unless you have a government approved exemption.
You may remove your face covering in order to eat and drink once in the Auditorium.

Staff Face Coverings

All staff members have been supplied with face coverings / shields and will be wearing these at all times.

Social Distancing

Floor Markers & Queuing.

Floor markers will show appropriate distances to stand when queuing, and our teams will be on hand to assist with social distancing.

Staggered Film Times.

Showtimes have been staggered to help reduce the amount of customers in the foyer areas at any one time. Additional cleaning times have been provided so our teams can do extra cleaning between screenings.

Grouping and placement of seats.

All performances now feature allocated seating and we are operating a dynamic seating policy to aid with distancing. This means that only alternate rows within the screen are in use. When you book tickets online, the system automatically blocks off seats to the side of you, so that no one else will be sat next to you. You will see seats marked with a grey seat on the online seating plan – these are seats that have automatically been blocked off – please try to not leave additional single seats when you choose your seats.

Watching a Film

All Screens are operating to reduced capacity.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, all of our screens will only operate with up to 35% of its physical capacity.

You can now gain access to the auditorium by using your booking confirmation as your ticket. The staff member on duty will scan the code on your ticket to validate and confirm your seating location.

You may be asked to leave via an alternative exit.

To aid with the flow of customers in and out of the building, at the end of the performance we may ask you to leave via an alternative exit as directed by a member of staff.

Snacks and Drinks

Some products may be unavailable.

Whilst we expect to offer close to our full range of cinema snacks and drinks, some products may not be available. These include Pick n Mix, draught alcohol and self-serve items in some cinemas.

Sugar, milk and straws will not be available as self serve – staff will hand you these items with hot and cold drinks purchases.

Alcohol policy.

Only one alcoholic drink is permitted to be served to each customer.

Please purchase your snacks before you take your seats.

To avoid crossover in the foyer, please dont leave the auditorium to purchase aditional refreshments.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

Counter Screens.

We have installed perspex screens on all of our sales counters.

Hand Sanitiser.

There are multiple liquid sanitiser points around the building. Our sanitiser is formulated to WHO standards, at 80% alcohol.

Contact Point sanitising.

Our staff are sanitising all contact points within the cinema at regular intervals. This includes door handles, push plates, taps and so on. In addition, all plastic parts of all seats are sanitised after every performance.

Enhanced cleaning regime.

Whilst we already have very high standards of cleanliness, we have doubled down on our training, equipment and cleaning routines even further.
